Gunhild Oscarson was born 1926 in Hammenhög (Sweden). She studied scared music and composition (Lars-Erik Larson) at Stockholm conservatory.
In 1949 her 'Partita for organ' was performed at the 'Nordic Music Festival' in Stockholm. 1952 Gunhild Oscarson took part in the Oslo Music Festival with her 'Sonatine for violin and piano'. 1954 she went to Vienna to study composition. 1955 she went to Wiesbaden (Germany) for studying in the vocal class of Prof. Paul Lohmann.
Gunhild Oscarson worked as a church musician and piano teacher in Frankfurt, Hagen, Essen and Duisburg. She particiopated in several summer courses at Salzburg Mozarteum where she studied with Prof. Wolfgang Fortner.
